Thank goodness we didn’t see any deer roaming around the highways during our recent trip but we did see lots of great Kansas scenery along the way.
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word, And the skies are not cloudy all day…
Well they were cloudy part of the time and it did look like rain but sadly we never saw a drop.
Where the air is so pure, the zephyrs so free, The breezes so balmy and light…
A light breeze in Kansas? Maybe some days but we had a few nice wind gusts along the route that pushed us around!
I would not exchange my home on the range, For all of the cities so bright…
When we leave our little town we pass through a lot of Kansas farm land, over a lot of hills, and cross a few rivers to get to what-ever city we are heading to at the time. It may be a bit of an inconvenience but I do love a good road trip!
