My #12 picture was of 12 crochet hooks in a skein of yarn… Well; I just took a little trip to go shopping with L [wedding dress shopping] and for K to go to a job interview and to visit #7 and to see #4 and to… Ok, you get the idea.
Anyway… I packed along those crochet hooks and that yarn [and more yarn] and practiced away. I figured out how to make a simple, traditional, granny square… and just kept going… and going… and going…. and now it’s a…
granny afghan!
And I’m nearly done with it!! Not too bad for my first big crochet project.
Oh, on a side note L’s dress is beautiful, we had a great visit with #7 and #4, and…. K aced the first part of this job interview with flying colors. It was actually a test, you know fill in those little dots kind of test, and the HR person called him just an hour after he left the office and said that he had a perfect score on the test and would like him to come back on Monday for more of the interview process!!!
I’m so proud of my grown up kids.
[I don't have the link to the crochet instructions that I used to get started with this project but I found a great craft blog this morning that has some awesome instructions. If you'd like to see them check out Blair over at Wise Craft. I see lots of other fun squares I'd like to try!]

love everything crochet, doing and photographing it. Nice work, love it.
Glad about you kids!
Thanks Ana; I’ve made so many mess ups on this giant granny square it’s not even funny! But I’m having a good time learning it again.
