My Gear

Every photographer has a bag of gear, some are a little larger then others but they’ve all got one. I’m no exception.

My bag of gear is small right now and I’m still learning how to use all of it to it’s full potential but…

This is what I am shooting with right now:

Canon digital rebel xti

My Canon 17-40mm lens. A super cool prize from Digital Photography School.

My Canon 17-40mm lens. A super cool prize from Digital Photography School.

Canon 17-40mm f/4L USM

Canon 50mm f/1.8 II

Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4
see the story of this lens here

and

Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6

I’ve also got a couple other toys including a cheap tripod, a monopod, a Professor Kobre’s LightScoop, a set of Opteka close up lenses, hoods and UV filters for all my lenses, a Canon RS-60E3 remote switch, and a table top studio from Cowboy Studios. The lights that came with the table top studio could be a bit brighter but with the addition of my pop-up flash set up I seem to be getting good results for my stock photos.

And just like every photographer I have a list of things that I would someday like to add to my bag. That list is too long to add here but it starts with a nice flash and a good fast lens for indoor sports and portraits like maybe a Canon 85mm f/1.8 or even better a Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.
