My bag of gear slowly grows and changes…
Here’s what I am shooting with right now:
Canon EOS 7D

My Canon 17-40mm lens. A super cool prize from Digital Photography School.
Canon 17-40mm f/4L USM
Canon 50mm f/1.8 II
Canon 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
(a Christmas gift from D!)
Gotta love that Canon glass!
A set of Kenko Auto Extenstion Tubes for Canon-EOS EF/EFS (also a gift from D.).
I’ve also got a couple other toys including a cheap tripod, a monopod, a Professor Kobre’s LightScoop, a set of Opteka close up lenses, hoods and UV filters for all my lenses, and a table top studio from Cowboy Studios. [The lights that came with the table top studio could be a bit brighter but with the addition of my pop-up flash set up I seem to be getting good results for my stock photos.]
Small! thats an slr, a prime, an L series lens, two standard zooms and a telephoto!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! Now that’s what I call “winning”! I shoot Pentax, but like you, am slowly adding to my bag. I’ve officially outgrown my first one and will be stepping up to a larger backpack tomorrow. Fun, fun!
I see you picked up a nifty fifty. You’re going to love it! I have a 50mm f/1.8 and it is one of my favorite lenses. Oh, wait, they are all my faves!
I DID get a nifty fifty! I love it too, but the manual focus can be a bit of a pain in the rear sometimes.
Now, I know this doesn’t man much for photography, but it’s just a *cool* looking lens..the build is awesome and sturdy. And it was a Craigslist find! My out of pocket cost for it was $15 since my parents gifted me the other $50. Sweet deal!
JLI ~ Congrats! It’s a nice lens.
