I don’t (at least not yet) make my own prints but I would like to know how to improve my photos so that they will make a better looking print so I look forward to reading Making The Print by Martin Bailey. Martin is a Tokyo based art and assignment photographer with a passion for creating photos that invoke emotions. His book Making The Print explains everything you need to know about making beautiful prints from profiling and sharpening to fine tuning and even adding borders.
As much as I would love to travel and shoot at a variety of fun locations; I don’t think I’ll be doing that anytime real soon so I need a little help turning up the creativity for shooting a little closer to home. I think I may have found just what I need with Stuart Sipahigil’s book Close To Home. Stuart is an award-winning photographer who shoots for the love of the craft. In Close To Home you’ll find that taking great photos does not require traveling to exotic places. It will help you to see things around you more clearly and find new images in familiar places through practical insights and creative exercises.
I can’t wait to get started on these two books; I learned a lot from the last Craft & Vision book and I know I’ll learn even more from these! If you’ve found a good photography related book lately feel free to share it with a comment below!
Have a great day everyone.
