Still Stitching Topeka Back Together

I took some time this afternoon to do a little more work on those rooftop photos from April. This time I started out stitching 6 more images but when it was done I didn’t like the way one end turned out so I just decided it needed some cropping. Now I guess you would say that this new panoramic is made from about 5 or 5 1/2 images.

I’ll share the second one with you again and this third one stitched today; I’m not happy with that first one anymore so I won’t post it again.

Topeka April 2012 #2

Topeka April 2012 #3

If these two were to be stitched together the 3rd one would be to the left of the 2nd one and there would be at least one more image filling in the gap between them.

It’s a learning process but I’m slowly getting this figured out! I have lots more photos from this same shoot to practice with; I was able to shoot from three sides of the building and two corners. I took a lot of pictures that day.

I’m Back! Check Out What I’m Working On Now!

Good morning everyone! Or I guess good afternoon is more like it.

Sorry for my absence these last few days I just returned from a two-week stay at #7′s house and I am now trying to play a game of “catch up”. I’m sure everyone knows how that goes. I’ll be behind for a month now.

I’m also going to be busy for the next couple of weeks… today is my birthday, then there’s mother’s day, then K’s graduation day, and then the graduation celebration! Busy busy busy few days ahead.

Did I tell you that K is graduating? Well he is; I am now (well in just a few day I’ll be) the mother of a college graduate! Wait; that makes me old. Maybe I shouldn’t admit to that one. :)

Anyway I’ll do my best to keep up around here but don’t be surprised if there are a few days where I go missing!

For today I’ll share my first completed image from the project I am currently working on.

While I was visiting #7 we went up on the roof top of the building she works in and spent some time running around 19 floors over the city and taking lots of pictures.

This is my first attempt at stitching some of those pictures together; in this case there are 4 images here. So far I have learned that this kind of thing is harder than it looks and that I need a lot more practice at it.

Have a great day everyone! I’ll be back again ASAP.
