This past Friday I had a 90 mile drive to a doctor’s appointment and when I got there I found out that there had been some kind of scheduling error. Turns out the doctor isn’t even in on Friday afternoons! All was not lost though the RT was able to take care of everything that was important and we had lots of time to do our shopping and have some fun.
Sorry the answering service bothered you at home Dr. B; I have no idea why they called you about a scheduling error. Hope you had a great day off otherwise and that you spent some quality time with your camera.
I had a short shopping list as we are mostly living off our little stock pile this week however I did find a few good deals. Most of our shopping this week was necessities for K & L’s return to campus and there were only a few coupons on hand for those; next week will be more of the same I think.
Our overall OOP was just about $300 for $419 worth of items giving us a 26% savings this time.
Here’s a couple of highlights of the things I stocked up on…
Walgreens

Viva paper towels 6 pack @ $5.99 – one $1/1 SQ and one .50/1 MQ = .75 a roll
note: Walgreens will let you use a SQ and a MQ for the same product, and RR on the total cart, just make sure that the number of items in your cart out number the pieces of paper that you give the cashier. You may need to pick up a small filler item or two to get those great deals!

A Quick Mail Call
I know I just did a mail call a few days ago but I was so excited about one of the FREE things that was waiting for me in the mail box when I got back from our shopping on Friday that I wanted to share it right away!
First the little things: a sample of SoyJoy bars, Crest toothpaste and mouthwash, Oral B floss, and a coupon for a FREE 64 oz bottle of Old Orchard juice for taking a survey on their website a while back.
Now for what I was so excited about….
Waiting for me in a little plain-looking envelope was a FREE Pandora bracelet! It’s a special item that they gave away for taking a survey; I believe they called it a solitaire bracelet as it features only one charm or bead and can not be added to. The one I received has a cute tangerine colored glass bead with pretty little flowers all through it; I’ve been told that it is valued at $95. Now that’s one survey I’m glad I took the time to fill in. This bracelet will now be my reminder to keep up the pace with my coupon clipping, rebate mailing, and survey taking. A nice little gift for myself.
Have a great day everyone and don’t forget to like me on Facebook so that you can comment on the next post for a chance to win in my first ever KKH Photos giveaway coming up in about half an hour!
