One of my favorite turkey burger recipes is this Asian inspired version; I like mine with all the toppings!
I’m thinking that if I know I’m going to take a picture I need to use fresh pineapple next time; that canned stuff doesn’t have much color. 🙂
6 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons apricot preserves
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
1/4 cup apricot preserves
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
salt & black pepper
2 tablespoons finely crushed cracker crumbs
1 pound ground turkey
Mix preserves, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper until well blended. Add crumbs and ground turkey and mix evenly.
Shape into 4 patties and cook in a heated skillet with a little vegetable oil till browned on both sides and cooked through.
Serve burgers on toasted buns topped with sauce and your choice of additional toppings.
julienned water chestnuts
thinly sliced onion
juilienned sweet red peppers
whatever you like!
