Picture Of The Week – Kansas Sunflowers

Our springtime weather felt a little more like summertime over the weekend; started the weekend over 80 and ended it early this morning with a good old thunderstorm. I see fields quickly tuning green and the old weeds starting to grow; yep I’m sure spring will be short-lived and we will be soaring over 100 soon. Guess that means it’s almost time for the sunflowers to bloom again.

  1. A field of sunflowers is a thing of beauty, as is today’s photo. WIth each passing day, it seems less likely that WInter will return — at least I keep telling myself that!

  2. I didn’t know sunflowers bloomed in spring! totally thought they were a fall flower. So pretty!
