52 Project 2012 ~ L Is For Lantern

I was trying to think of what I could do for the letter L this week and the word light came to mind so I lit up one of my beaded lanterns from the patio and came up with this image.

L is for lantern, light, lit, and lamp.

Beaded Lantern

These lanterns were a recent thrift store find; you gotta love a trip to the thrift store!

  1. John; I’ve got three of them hanging in corners of our patio (it’s walled in on three sides so it’s almost like an outdoor room). I picked them up this winter so haven’t had a chance to see them all lit up out there yet. Maybe this weekend it will be time for a cookout!

  2. Thrift stores are awesome. A perfect place to find things that will be placed outside and might just get tossed around in the wind. If you only paid $1 for a lantern then you don’t worry so much if it gets knocked around a bit. You can find the cutest things; and an added bonus of getting them without all the extra packaging!

  3. oooooh Pretty.

I love the lantern and yes… the thrift store you can find some real bargains. Sometimes, people don’t realize what they have given away in the quest to upgrade.

  4. I have a feeling some of the letters will be a little harder than others but it’s been fun so far. I’ll being going for numbers and colors once I finish the alphabet.

  5. Such a pretty latern! You can suprisingly find some great things at thift stores and garage sells. Little gold mines.
