What Does Your Neighborhood Smell Like Today?

Sometimes, in the spring, our little neighborhood smells like lilacs.
I love that smell.

Sometimes, in the late summer, our little neighborhood smells like rain.
We haven’t had that smell very much this year.

Sometimes, in the fall, our little neighborhood smells like fireplaces burning.
I like a nice warm fire.

Sometimes, in the winter, our little neighborhood smells like snow.
Yes; I may be crazy but I think you can smell snow. It’s a cold clean scent.

But today…..

…our little neighborhood…

…smells like fresh hot tar.

I don’t like that smell at all. Nasty!

  1. Ugh! This Summer it seemed like everyone had their roofs repaired. Here the roofs are flat and tarred. Even so, that is in no way as bad as when they tar the street. I feel for you and hope they’re gone soon.
