…and Kansas week continues…
If I have my information right there are about 30 lakes, reservoirs, and dams located in the State of Kansas. I live fairly close to a few of them.
But did you know that most of them are manmade? They were built to meet a lot of needs including drinking water, water to irrigate crops, and even as ways to reduce flood damages. They also provide a lot of wildlife habitat and make great stops for photo walks!
I took this shot at Lake Waconda early one morning while on my way down the highway to visit family. It’s a nice lake for swimming, camping, picnics, and photo ops. I also hear they have some awesome fishing over there!
The images from the public galleries over at KKHPhotos.com are available as prints in a wide assortment of sizes, canvas gallery wraps, standout displays, fotoflōts, photo greeting cards, and postage stamps. They are also available in a wide range of gift items; aluminum bookmarks, coasters, tempered glass cutting boards, keychains, magnets, mousepads, and much more! You can even do your own thing with my photos when you purchase them as digital download stock photos for personal or web use.
