Fall At Chautauqua Park

There’s a beautiful park in a town about 30 or so miles away from me called Chautauqua Park. They have a big swimming pool, a play ground, picnic areas, Frisbee golf, camp grounds, a river, wide open spaces, and lots and lots of big beautiful trees.

So I thought it would be a good place to go to shoot some fall colors. This was easier said than done because, the day I was there, the crews had already begun to set up the Christmas lights display. They have big light display every year.

It’s kind of hard to have your image say “fall is here!” when there’s a big wire frame light up Santa standing in the middle of the trees.

So instead of the planned wide-angle lots of trees photos; my fall images ended up being mostly close up shots of the colorful leaves.

Maybe I’ll get back over there for the light display. I wonder if you can drive through slow enough to get in a few photos.
