I truly began on this journey,
this never-ending search;
to find my photographic voice six years ago.
But that little idea has been there much much longer than that.
Way back in the 5th grade, or maybe it was the 6th, our science teacher planned a lesson; that lesson is what really started this journey.
He gave us all the opportunity to get our hands on a camera and shoot. I seem to remember that the real lesson was with the chemical processes used to develop the film.
But that’s not what I took away from it.
I had the opportunity to “talk” with that teacher a while back via Facebook. He knew [as soon as he figured out who the heck KKH Photos was, or at least who I was way back then] that his lesson was the first adventure that pushed me towards this journey.
Pretty cool that
Mr. H not only remembered who I was, but that he remembered that I had enjoyed that particular lesson. Maybe that’s the small school in a small town advantage.
What does that really have to do with the whole point of this post?
Not really very much I guess. It just came to mind today as I was giving my logo, site, and blog, a new look.
I’ve used the same or at least pretty much the same darker color schemes for 6 years now. Mostly black, white, and shades of grey. Somewhere along this journey someone told me that photography sites should be dark so that the images will stand out.
I think after having an online presence for six years it’s time to shake up this adventure! I added **oh no say it isn’t so!** COLOR!
Yep; a bright light new color scheme with a big ol’ bold
splash of orange!
Here’s to another six years with a bolder, brighter,
louder photographic voice.
I think that Mr. H will approve.
