The other day as I was catching up on a bit of “what’s going on today” in the form of blogs, FB pages, Linked In contacts, and other sites around the web and I noticed a theme. It seemed that just about everyone was posting some kind of year in review. From TIME’s Top 10 Photos of 2014 and Dave Barry’s Year In Review over at The Washington Post, to that ever annoying Facebook “It’s Been A Great Year” slideshow feature. Yep; the yearly reviews are everywhere!
Soooo…. I was thinking [yes; that can be dangerous] if the “big guys” can post a year in review, and Great Aunt Martha can share a slideshow, then why can’t I? Why shouldn’t I? After all it has been a pretty good year in my little corner of the blogosphere!
Now, if you are still reading this then note that this may be a good time to grab a cup of coffee and sit back and relax because here we go with My Own 2014 Year In Review.
January – I gave our little living room a bit of a makeover and shared with you a few Tips For Photographing Interior Design.
February –The huge renovation project on our state capitol building has been completed. I dodged traffic to snap a quick shot of Ad Astra, 2 ton – 22 feet 2 inch tall Kansa Indian warrior, standing tall on the new copper dome.
March – I had a nice visit with a very happy and Sleepy Kitty at the zoo.
April – Well; Sometimes things just don’t go your way.
May – I enjoyed a new book and remembered A Pilgrimage Never Taken.
June – A Bolder, Brighter, Louder Photographic Voice for KKH Photos was launched.
July – What else am I going to point my lens at in July? Is there anything better than a Fireworks show?
August – I found The Golden Egg!! Well; #4 found it for me.
September – My little ol’ camera lead me to The Coal Piles.
October – I shared a Walk In The Park with #7.
November – I took a look into What The Shortest Time For Selling One Of My Images was. FYI it’s 24 hours.
December – I took a Walk In The Dark with D.
Yep; even though we lost my Mother early this year, I ended up having surgery, D spent a couple of days in the hospital, K still needs a new car, and L & M are currently living overseas… It’s mostly been a pretty good year.
Here’s to an awesome 2015; see you all next year!
