I am doing something a little different with a few of my photos for the 2014 holiday season. I will be selling single page 2015 calendars from KKHPhotos.Com at a craft cooperative in Alton, Kansas. This cooperative is called The Craft Basket and this is the second year I have been a member. Last Christmas I sold a few of my crochet items; this year I have added a few photos in the form of those calendars.
Have you ever visited a cooperative craft shop before? It is a very awesome place to do your holiday shopping. If there’s one in your area I suggest you visit it soon.
The Craft Basket in Alton, Kansas gives people who live, work, or travel in the area a unique place to shop. For two months out of the year the little town gives up their community room and allows the members of this craft cooperative to turn it into a one of a kind store. This “store” is filled with handcrafted gifts and décor of all kinds. From homemade lotions and soaps to homegrown honey and delicious home canned jellies… fresh from the oven baked goods on Saturdays too! You’ll find ornaments that have been crocheted, beaded, and carved from wood… there’s toys, afghans, scarfs, and hats… baby booties, painted gourds, floral arrangements, and wreaths… and those calendars!
and so much more! The creativity seems to be endless this year.
If you happen to be traveling across Kansas this holiday season plan a little side trip and visit Alton; they are right on US highway 24 in North Central Kansas [part of Osborne County]. If a unique holiday shopping experience isn’t enough on it’s own; there’s some beautiful countryside to view along the way!
Hope to see you there!
and let me be the first to say…
