2010 ~ A Very Good Year

2010 was a very good year for my photography adventures with photos being sold and enjoyed on 4 sites; 6 if you count this blog and my main site; The Corner Desk.

I am so excited to share with you what photos sold, and in the case of my variety store at Zazzle; what products they were sold on!

So without further delay here’s my top photos for 2010.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased photos and products and to everyone who has just stopped by to enjoy my work. I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I’ll start with my newest adventure; Fotolia. Because it is new to me, and I only have a handful of images in that portfolio, there were only 2 photos downloaded in 2010; Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie (downloaded 3 times) and Family Fun Game Pieces (downloaded only once).

Continuing on with my adventures in stock photography… Dreamstime was very good in 2010 with so many photos downloaded that I can’t show you all of them here but I’ll give you my top 5.

The Number 200

Why the number 200 you ask?

Well, it used to be the most common ISO speed for photographic film, way back in the day.

In a game of Monopoly 200 is the amount of money you get for passing “Go” unless you are on your way to “jail”.

Just the other day I read that an average size portion of Turkey has 200 calories. Now just what that average size is I have no idea, an ounce? 4 ounces? I don’t know. But I do love a good roasted turkey, don’t you?

And those TV commercials tell us that 200 and below is the desirable level of cholesterol to lower your risk of heart disease.

But none of that has anything to do with why I am celebrating the number 200 today.

Today I am celebrating the number 200 because I have just passed 200 sales at Dreamstime. So pour yourself and ice-cold bubbly soda (which by the way is my most popular DT image and the number 200 download) and celebrate with me.

Here’s to all those little milestones in life. Hope you all have many as they will pave the road to your success.
