Monthly Photo Theme Project – Nature

You know you all would never recognize me if I did something on time! So in my normal fashion; I’m late. Again.

Here it is 13 days into September already and I haven’t posted my Monthly Photo Theme project images for August yet!

August’s theme was simply: Nature.

Well August in Kansas is usually hot so I knew whatever I shot for nature would be found in the shade. And sure enough it was!

While on a little road trip with #2, #4, #5, and #7 we came across a lovely scene. We stepped out of the cars and took just a few steps into an old cemetery when we all started saying, almost in unison,  “look! it’s a fairy circle!”.  Can’t tell we are related can you.

Well  of course the cameras came out!

You gotta love it when a photo op just jumps in front of you like that!

You Might Live In Kansas

If you have worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you might live in Kansas.
If you often switch from “heat” to “A/C” in the same day and back again, you might live in Kansas.
If you can drive 65 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard, without flinching, you might live in Kansas.
If you find 0 degrees to be “a little chilly”, you might live in Kansas.

If you can go out while the snow is still coming down and capture a few wintry images; then see the snow all melted before you ever post those images you definitely live in Kansas.

I took this shot of a snow covered tree just 5 days ago.

All this snow is nearly gone now.

It will be nothing but a memory by tomorrow and the weather man says it will be 60 out this weekend!

Yep; if your weather is just a bit crazy…

You might live in Kansas.
